BEDROCK INSTALLATION / QUEST 02
Verity Minecraft Bedrock: Download & Install Add-ons
Bedrock uses an add-on, not the Java Verity JE mod. The known PnTMC listing uses .mcaddon files and notes that current builds require Beta APIs.
Know the Bedrock boundary
- Windows Bedrock can import .mcaddon files directly.
- Behavior and resource packs must both be active when the project includes both.
- Console platforms do not expose the same third-party import workflow.
- A Java .jar cannot be converted by renaming it to .mcaddon.
Confirm the PnTMC project
Look for Verity — Bedrock Edition by PnTMC. The CurseForge project ID is 1575941; MCPEDL also carries the author listing.
Import and activate the add-on
- 01
Open the .mcaddon with Minecraft
Wait for the import success message. If the download has an unexpected extension, return to the project page rather than forcing it.
EXPECTED RESULTMinecraft confirms that the pack imported successfully.
- 02
Create a new test world
Do not start with an important world. Open the Resource Packs and Behavior Packs sections for the new world.
EXPECTED RESULTBoth project packs are visible and active.
- 03
Enable only documented experiments
The current author listing calls for Beta APIs. Experiment names can change between Bedrock releases, so follow the current project note.
EXPECTED RESULTThe world saves with the required experiment enabled.
- 04
Load the world and test the basic interaction
Confirm Verity content appears before changing extra packs, shaders or performance settings.
EXPECTED RESULTThe add-on loads in a clean world without an import warning.
Common Bedrock failures
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Import fails | File extension, complete download and current Bedrock version |
| Nothing appears | Behavior pack, resource pack and Beta APIs |
| Held item is invisible | Disable conflicting held-item texture packs |
| World lags | Test without other add-ons and reduce device load |
| Console install question | Use official platform capabilities; avoid sideload claims |
